We are the only community-based choir for Greater Manchester's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people and others who identify with us.
We welcome members of our LGBT community to a friendly, inclusive and safe environment where 'the inner diva' can be released! We are now about 80-strong and growing, with a good distribution of members from both genders, all age groups and backgrounds.
We are a cheerful and sociable group and always have fun while making music. We do not audition and our material is suitable for new or experienced singers - there's something for everyone. There also are lots of activities for choir members including workshops, sing-alongs, and performances.
Information for potential new members
7 July 2004
The Manchester Lesbian & Gay Chorus is open to all members from the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered community.
We are not actively recruiting new members at the moment as we are preparing for a major performance in July.
However, please come along in August where we will be preparing for performances during Manchester Pride.
We are rehearsing on the first four Mondays of August, 7.30-9.30pm, at the Hollywood Showbar.
If you would like to join us, please show up at the one of the August rehearsals. Before you do so, please get in touch with us to let us know you are coming along. You can either send us an email, or ring us if you have obtained a phone number from the press or a printed flyer.
Thank you!
